Allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Nikica Varadi, affectionately known as “Nixon” among friends. I was born on August 28, 1989, in the town of Backa Topola, Yugoslavia, nestled close to the Hungarian border.
From a young age, technology held a fascination for me that has never faded. I received my first Commodore computer at the tender age of seven and upgraded to a personal computer by the age of fourteen. This fascination with technology was not merely a byproduct of gaming, but rather an early indication of my desire to utilize these tools for creation, innovation, and self-expression.
Presently, I hold the position of a Technical Specialist for Material Flow Control Systems. As an integral part of the engineering team, my responsibilities encompass maintaining the operational efficiency of the distribution center and ensuring its optimal performance. I develop tools and applications for monitoring and assist the engineering department in troubleshooting and resolving issues. The complexity of warehouse control systems intrigues me, and I thoroughly enjoy working on them.
Programming Proficiencies:
My programming experience spans across various languages and platforms:
Developing websites in PHP and JavaScript, running on Apache and Node.js, respectively
Creating Windows and Unity applications in C# – SCADA screens, visualizations and Games! 🙂
Developing games in JavaScript, C#, C++, utilizing Unreal Engine and Unity
Establishing communication through WebSockets, MQTT, Message brokers like neuron or rabbitmq
Implementing controllers in Python and JavaScript
Proficiency in databases: MongoDB and MySQL

Cisco Networking:
I am a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and currently working towards obtaining my Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. My competencies include:
Designing and implementing SOHO and enterprise networks and IP configurations
Implementing routing protocols: RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, Basic BGP, Static
Handling LAN/WAN: IP routing, Multi-Layer Switching, WAN Equipment, TCP/IP

Electrotechnics and Automation:
With my educational background and work experience, I have honed skills in measuring and repairing PCB components, identifying defects, reading electrical drawings, designing, and maintaining industrial networks IOT. I can troubleshoot PLC programs and Profinet networks.
My experience includes extensive, daily use of Siemens TIA portal.
Other than these boring stuff, I like all variety of hacky things and “impossible” implementations, which require creativity and problem solving.
Image and Picture Manipulation:
I have over a decade of experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. My interests also extend to digital painting.
